The Bybee College App Camp walks your student through the preparation of the hardest parts of their college application.
In this camp, they will:
~ Create an Academic Resume and an Expanded Resume
~ Draft cover letters to get better letters of recommendation
~ Organize a spreadsheet so they'll work more effectively
~ Learn how to write both the short and long essays
~ Complete at least 2 essays for their college applications
~ Work with an expert writing coach to craft their college application

Fire Chief for a Day!
$90Let your young hero step into the boots of a real fire chief! This unforgettable experience gives one lucky student the chance to spend a day with Chief John Ard and the firefighters of the Westlake Fire-EMS Department. Highlights of this incredible day include:
~ A personal welcome from Westlake Fire Chief John Ard
~ A guided tour of the fire station
~ A close-up look at fire engines and lifesaving equipment
~ Hands-on demonstrations with firefighters
~ The opportunity to try on real firefighter gear
~ Participation in a mock safety drill or training activity
~ Lunch with the Chief and firefighters
~ Westlake Fire Department souvenirs
~ Commemorative photos of the day
Your student will learn about fire safety, teamwork, and what it takes to protect our community-all while having an exciting behind-the-scenes adventure. Perfect for curious, brave, and community-minded kids!
Date/time to be scheduled with the fire department on a mutually agreed weekday (Monday-Friday), including during the Summer. Recommended for elementary-aged students. Parent/guardian must accompany the child.
